Our Purpose
The purpose of the York County Bar Association is to assist membership in considering and acting upon matters affecting the legal profession, to offer continuing legal education and to create an opportunity for friendly association among members. We honor those who have passed, and welcome new attorneys to our collegial organization.
History
A Yorkville Enquirer newspaper article from Wed. Apr. 8, 1891, mentions the “Bar of York County” commemorating a late Chief Justice, quoting “Uniting with our brethren of the bar throughout the State…” making note of our deep history in York, South Carolina.
In its current incarnation, incorporated in 1994, the York County Bar Association boasts over 300 members and continues to grow.
